U.S. Based - Remote
The Insight Forward internship is designed for individuals interested in the intersection of geopolitical risk, security intelligence, and digital communication. This role focuses on expanding the firm’s social media presence through high-quality, analytically informed content that supports our public brand, weekly publications, and thought leadership. The intern will create and schedule posts across Insight Forward channels, develop visual and written content, and collaborate with the research team to translate complex topics into accessible, audience-ready material.
In addition to social media responsibilities, the intern will gain exposure to the intelligence cycle through participation in select research, protective intelligence monitoring, and the firm’s AI development initiatives. The internship is remote, with an expected contribution of approximately 10 hours per week for the duration of the academic semester (Fall, Spring, Summer).
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Content and Strategy
- Create, design, and schedule posts across multiple social media platforms.
- Repurpose material from newsletters, special reports, and client briefings into concise, visually engaging content.
- Monitor geopolitical and business trends to identify posting opportunities aligned with Insight Forward’s brand and expertise.
- Support weekly content calendars and assist in maintaining tone, consistency, and quality across all platforms.
- Assist in basic analytics tracking including engagement metrics and audience growth.
Internal Engagement
- Attend internal analytic sessions, briefings, and mentorship meetings with the senior team.
- Collaborate with analysts to ensure social media content accurately reflects Insight Forward’s research.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Strong writing ability and attention to detail, with skill in creating clear and compelling short-form content.
- Basic proficiency in social media platforms.
- Familiarity of geopolitics, foreign policy, or security issues would be helpful
- Interest in emerging technologies and digital trends.

Required Qualifications
- Current undergraduate or graduate students in communications, marketing, political science, international relations, business, security studies, or related disciplines.
